University Relations
The Silicon Valley Professional SHPE Chapter has been actively
involved with university chapters in the area. Professionals are
willing to offer support to the student chapters through a series
of activities.
In the past, SHPE-SV has engaged in the following activities:

Sponsorship of SOLES (Society of Latino Engineers and
Scientists) San Jose State University students to the SHPE
Regional Leadership Development Conference in Reno 2007.

Co-hosted a general meeting with a speaker at the Stanford
University campus in conjunction with LEGOS (Latino Engineering
Graduate Organization at Stanford)

Volunteered to be speakers at panels at the San Jose State University
-
Volunteered to present during the Science Extravaganza event at
the San Jose State University
-
Held a tour of the laboratories at Abbott to engineering
students from San Jose State University
The SHPE-SV chapter is very excited about developing a relationship with
